Jason Ellis is the senior vice president of Technology Brands. In this role, Jason has overall responsibility for running GameStop’s emerging Technology Brands division, which includes the company’s Spring Mobile business, which operates its AT&T and Cricket branded stores, and its Simply Mac retail brand that sells the full line of Apple products including laptops, tablets, smartphones and Apple certified warranty and repair services. Prior to GameStop’s acquisition of Spring Mobile and Simply Mac in 2013, Jason served as president of Spring Mobile. In this role he grew the organization and led the banking process that resulted in the sale of Spring Mobile and Simply Mac to GameStop. Jason joined Spring Mobile in April of 2001 as a founding partner and the company's president and chief operating officer, where he built the company's management team and directed implementation of its operational infrastructure. In September of 2006, Jason was promoted to CEO of Spring Retail Group, the parent company for Spring Mobile and its sister companies, Gadget Guard and Simply Mac. Jason sits on the board of the Salt Lake chapter of Head Start. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Utah and an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University.
